Mac vs. PC
Welcome to the Mac vs. PC blog. I chose this topic after creating my account with Vox.com only to find out that their site does not support Safari (the standard browser for Macs). When I attempted to compose my first blog entry, I was greeted by a pop-up window that told me to download Firefox because Vox currently does not support Safari (but that they're working on it). It's 2007, right? Do people with Macs always have to be left out when techies design code behind a new software? Did the designers at Vox need to abandon their Macs and use a PC to design the site? Is that even possible? Anyway, I should say that I was a PC user for years until I decided to quit my job and get into graphic design and Web design. I fell in love with the simple user interface and the way it looked on my desk (which was in the living room, so whatever I bought had to look as good as the furniture). I have to say, though, when I'm doing my MBA homework or regular work from home, I despise my Mac (this might not be true if everyone supported the Mac so I could get my work done from home). In fact, I may get a laptop to do my MBA work and use my Mac for everything else. Does anyone else suffer a love-hate relationship with their Mac or PC?
Comments
my mom has 2 macs, and i feel like every time i try to use them for something i can't do it. even looking at a you tube clip from blogger, the mac wouldn't play it.
so, as much as i like the idea of a mac, the pcs just seem more practical to interact with everything else.
